Derwent Cottage really impressed us with its size and calm setting. We enjoyed a lovely week, especially relaxing in the hot tub and exploring nearby attractions. Even though it's quite secluded, shops are easy to reach. We're definitely planning to stay here again, it’s a gem really!

We honestly couldn't ask for more. The place was spotless, warmand super comfy - everything we needed. The owners were really helpful, opening up the property so we didn't have to cut our day short for our Saturday dinner plans. The small shop on-site is handy for essentials. The views are stunningand relaxing in the hot-tub under the starry sky was just perfect. The only thing is, it’s a bit remote, but Durham's only half an hour away, so it's not a big deal at all. Definitely a spot we’d come back to!
